Dog Adventures!

Our adventures take place in a variety of scenic locations, including the lush Otari-Wilton's Bush, the expansive Skyline track, and the serene Te Ahu Mairangi. Each of these reserves offers unique environments for your dog to explore, from forested trails and open fields to tranquil streams and ponds. These walks not only provide your dog with physical exercise but also stimulate their senses with the diverse sights, sounds, and smells of nature. Dogs are kept on leashes in designated areas to protect local wildlife and comply with council regulations, ensuring a responsible and respectful interaction with nature.

All adventures start at midday and are offered 2-3 times a week (check schedule). The midday start is intentionally offered to break up a working day so your dog does not have to be alone for a full day when you are at work.

Pick ups are available for dog walks from (depending on that day's adventure) Wadestown, Wilton, Thorndon, Northland, Karori, Crofton Downs, Ngaio and Khandallah.

Big Dog Adventures is not about clocking up large distances and physically tiring your dog out. Instead, the walks are slow and the dogs are allowed to sniff and mentally tire themselves. The benefits of this are huge! Dogs reduce stress when in nature (no traffic noise, loud noises etc) and the ability to sniff and explore fatigues them, without making them super fit!

How it works...

1. Either sign up for an adventure here or get in touch with us using our Contact form.

2. We'll be in touch with a few questions about your dog(s) and set up a time to do a meet and greet.

3. Choose a location and day for your doggo's adventure!

4. We send you an invoice for payment after the Big Dog Adventure.

Home Visits

We understand that many dogs spend long hours at home while their owners are at work. To ensure your dog remains happy, healthy, and stimulated, we offer a comprehensive home visit service. We can visit your home to provide your dog with the attention and care they need during the day. Each visit includes a personalised playtime session, mental stimulation activities, and a much-needed bathroom break.

$20 for Wadestown, Thorndon, Wilton. $30 for surrounding suburbs.
Visits are for half an hour.
